FAQsAnswers to common questions
Do I need to create an account?
No. The app works as soon as you open it. Creating an account is optional and only needed to back up your plans or use them on another phone.
Will AdaptivePlanner change my calendar?
No. It only reads your calendars so your meetings block time in your plan. Calendar events are read on your phone and are never uploaded.
What happens when a task runs over?
When a task’s time is up, the app asks whether you are done. Choose Done, Extend (by 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes, or any amount) or Reschedule, and everything after it moves to fit.
Does it use AI?
No. The planner follows clear rules that run on your phone: tasks go into your free time, around meetings and prayers, before their deadlines and after the tasks they depend on.
How do prayer times work?
If you choose to, set your religion and calculation method in Settings. Prayer or worship times are calculated for your location and kept free. Tap a prayer on the Home screen to move it later within its allowed time on a particular day.
Is there a home-screen widget?
Yes, on Android. It shows your current task, your next free time and the rest of today.
How do I delete my data?
Go to Settings → Profile → Delete account (or Erase all my data if you never created an account). Everything is deleted straight away.

Who we are
AdaptivePlanner is made by TalalTech (talaltech.thequreshico.ca). This policy explains what information the app collects, why, where it is kept, and the choices you have. If you have any questions, email us at contact@thequreshico.ca.
The short version
- You can use the app without an account. Creating one is optional and only needed to back up your data or use it on another phone.
- We collect only what the app needs to plan your day. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use analytics or tracking tools.
- Events from your phone's calendars are read on your phone and never uploaded to us.
- You can delete your account and all of your data from inside the app at any time.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use the app, we store the following:
- Account: a randomly generated guest ID when you first open the app. If you create an account, your email address and password (the password is stored only in encrypted, hashed form by our authentication provider).
- Your planner: the tasks you create (title, duration, energy level, times, due dates, which tasks depend on others, whether they are flexible, how they repeat, when they were paused or ran over, and whether they are done or missed) and any events you add in the app.
- Your settings: working hours, time format, first day of the week, appearance (light or dark), and similar preferences.
- Religious observance settings, if you choose to set them: your religion and denomination or school of thought, prayer calculation method, the location used to calculate prayer times, how dates are displayed, and any prayer you move to a later time on a particular day. This can reveal your religious beliefs, so it is used only to show and protect your prayer or worship times and is never shared.
Location
The app asks for your location only when you tap "Use my location" in Settings, to calculate prayer times. We store the resulting latitude and longitude in your settings; we do not track your location in the background or keep a location history. You can type coordinates instead, or change them at any time.
Your phone's calendars
If you connect your calendars in Settings, the app reads events from the calendars on your phone (for example Google, Outlook or Samsung calendars) so your meetings can block time in your schedule. This is read-only: the app never changes your calendars. (Android grants calendar access as a single permission that would also allow changes; the app only ever reads.) Calendar events are read on your phone each time they're needed and are not uploaded to our servers. You can switch individual calendars off, or disconnect, at any time.
Notifications
Task reminders (the timer when a task ends and the chime when one starts), and the "Have you prayed?" check-ins after a prayer's time on your schedule and shortly before its time ends, are scheduled on your phone itself. We do not use a push notification service and do not collect a device token. If you turn on "Say it out loud", the task's name is spoken by your phone's own text-to-speech; nothing is sent anywhere. The "Alarms & reminders" permission, if you allow it, only lets these reminders ring on the exact minute.
Prayers you tick off
When you tick a prayer off as prayed, that record is kept only on your phone, for 30 days, so the app knows not to ask about it again. It is never uploaded to our servers or included in your account backup. It is deleted when you sign out or uninstall the app.
Home-screen widget
If you add the AdaptivePlanner widget to your home screen, it shows your current task, your next free time and the rest of today — including task titles — to anyone who can see your home screen. To draw it, the app keeps a copy of the next day or two of your schedule on your phone. That copy never leaves your phone and is cleared when you sign out. Remove the widget at any time to stop showing it.
How we use your information
- To run the planner: showing your schedule, moving tasks around your commitments and prayer times, and reminding you when a task's time is up.
- To keep your data in your account, so you can restore it after reinstalling or use it on another phone.
- To send account emails you ask for, such as confirming your email address or resetting your password.
- To respond when you contact us or report a problem.
Who processes your data
We use a small number of service providers, only for the purposes above:
- Supabase: stores your account and planner data and handles sign-in. Data is encrypted in transit, and database rules ensure each account can access only its own data.
- IONOS: delivers account emails (such as password reset codes) from our email address.
- Google Play: distributes the app. Google's own privacy policy applies to your use of Google Play.
Reporting a problem and contacting us
When you report a problem, the app opens your own email app with a message addressed to us; nothing is sent until you press Send. If you leave "Include app and device details" on, the message includes the app version and your phone's operating system and version, to help us fix the problem. We use what you send only to reply to you and to improve the app.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising. We would only disclose it if required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account (or guest profile) exists. When you delete your account or erase your data in the app, your tasks, events, settings and prayer information are permanently deleted from our database straight away.
Your choices and rights
- Delete everything: Settings → Profile → Delete account (or Erase all my data for a guest profile).
- Correct or change your information at any time in the app.
- Request a copy of your data, or ask us anything about your privacy, by emailing contact@thequreshico.ca. We aim to reply within 30 days.
- Turn off location, calendar, notification or alarm access at any time in your phone's settings; the app keeps working without them.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections, access to it is restricted to your own account by database security rules, and passwords are never stored in readable form. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Children
AdaptivePlanner is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update it here and in the app and change the date below. Significant changes will be highlighted in the app.
